Should I exercise on the day of my Chiropractic appointment?

For most people attending routine Chiropractic visits for general wellness and mobility — and not for a sports injury or active pain condition — yes. Absolutely. It depends on what you want to achieve.

It is important to know that Chiropractic care includes and focusses on spinal and joint adjustments, but focusses on soft tissue treatment too!

This is why, I mostly recommend that patients exercise before coming to treatment. Just in case we want to do some dry needling or rest an area for 12 hours after treatment.

However, if your goal is to ‘activate’ an area that is not ‘firing’ properly during exercise, it may be a good idea to get your adjustment done about 20 minutes prior to exercise. Is improved performance your goal? Sports Chiropractic is a big ‘drive’ to why patients attend treatment.

If you are unsure about the type or intensity of exercise best suited to you, speak to your Chiropractor for individualised guidance based on your lifestyle, goals, and current physical condition.

Move well. Move often. Just keep moving 🧠🦴✨
